About José A Mesa Jr.
José A. (TONY) Mesa, Jr. is a retired Miami executive that always has been interested in Acrylic paintings. He closed his management consulting firm to enjoy retirement. Then Covid arrived. He needed a purpose in life and started painting.
Tony has completed 49 acrylic paintings on stretched cotton canvas since he started painting in October 2021. All paintings can be seen in his portfolio on this website.
He is also a published author of the children's book "Welcome to the ZOO" and he has written two movie screenplays that haven't made it into movies yet.
Tony was born in Havana, Cuba in 1946 and came to the USA in 1962. He graduated from college in 1974 and became a certified public accountant and later as an executive and also an international auditor with Fortune 50 multinational companies.
He has been married to Carrie for 54 years and has two children. Elizabeth a doctor in clinical psychology and Tonito an attorney.
